One of the most well-liked activities in the “Pearl of Africa” is going on a gorilla trek, which takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is where the primates live in a dense, old forest that is thought to have survived the Ice Age. The tour will start and conclude in Entebbe. Our 5 Days Uganda Double Gorilla Trekking Tour highlights the park’s heavenly beauty and allows you several opportunities to track the monkey species. It is the one item you must not miss on a bucket list in all your travel adventures.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Once you arrive, a representative from our company will meet you and take you to the accommodations you have reserved. You will then go on a city tour of Entebbe, visit the Entebbe botanical gardens, and end the day with a sunset cruise along Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria is one of the largest freshwater bodies of water in Uganda and has some islands on which there are human settlements.
Accommodation: Protea Hotel Entebbe.
Meals: (Dinner).
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Breakfast first thing in the morning, then our guide transfers you to the airport for your flight to Kisoro Airfield. The flight takes around two hours to reach the location. It is magical to meet a group of the last short-structured people in the nation when you arrive for check-in at the lodge and a forest walk to experience the Batwa community. They will walk you through their ways of life, how they used to live in the forest, and demonstrate how to make a fire without using modern matches or lighters.
Accommodation: Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge.
Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 3: First Gorilla Trekking Experience
After a morning breakfast, we’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on how to behave around different primate species. While you’re there, our guide will be busy making sure you’re registered for the activity in time. Then, we’ll head into the forest to track gorillas in groups of eight under the guidance of a ranger from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. The young stars will jump up and down of trees with such enthusiasm that you will leave you smiling. On a good day, you may get the opportunity to witness forest elephants, black and white colobus monkeys, and L’hoest monkeys. Return for dinner and staying overnight.
Accommodation: Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge.
Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 4: Second Gorilla Trekking Activity
After an early-morning cup of tea or coffee, you will reassemble at the park headquarters for your second encounter with mountain gorillas. This time, a different gorilla family will be assigned to you; nonetheless, you will travel in groups of eight this time. As we return to the forest, enjoy the walk while keeping an eye out for the primates; finding them easily may not be an option. This presents a golden opportunity to see what you may have missed during your first encounter.
Accommodation: Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge.
Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 5: Departure
Once you’ve had your tea or coffee, a representative will take you to the Kisoro airfield so you may catch your return aircraft to Entebbe and connect to your international journey home.
